We have a small restaurant specialising in local traditional African cuisine and drinks sourcing local ingredients. This gives the lodge guests the opportunity to explore local flavours, add value to local products, and support the local communities providing the ingredients while considerably reducing the food miles.
Tambuti Lodge encourages its clients to taste the local flavours starting from starter, main course and deserts. Taste our traditional breakfast too.
Our Healthy breakfast with lots of local ingredients including roasted Manketti (Nongongo) nuts for your cereals, Mutete Juice (from the Rosella flower), Millet Pancakes (Mungome) , local Jams (of Maguni, Mutete, Matu or Mukerete depending on season) as well as fruits from the Garden like Passion Fruit and Pomegranates for your breakfast Muesli.
The Garden of Eden
We grow different spices such as mint, basil, parsley, bay leaf, oregano, chives, garlic and ginger.
All our herbs are organically grown with an emphasis on freshness for our client’s health.
Vegetables such as spinach, cabbages, onions, potatoes and salad are locally grown and harvested at the lodge.
Fruits which are grown in our garden are passion fruit, guava, avocado, paw paw, tomatoes, pomegranate, grapefruit, and banana. For some zest we have lime, lemon, oranges, mango, strawberry, apple as well as blackcurrants, peach, and marula fruit.
Our clients are spoiled for choice and we strive to serve them the freshest picks from our Garden of Eden.
